Skincare Products | 2018

this post is a little bit different from other post. it's going to be about my favorite skin-care products at the moment which i currently loved and are one of my top favorites of all time! i was requested by my one fellow friends who desperately wants to know what are my daily skin-care products and what i used to reduced acne scarring and etc.

*note to everyone ; i am not a professional beauty person/vlogger neither i am a certified beautician. what i did to my face may not 100% works for you. remember, everyone is born with different skin-types and not all ladies/gentlemens have a 100% skin perfection. everyone have their own battles with acne, it depends on how deep it is.

first of all, before i hopped into the bathroom, i would make sure that my skin is "skin-free" from any makeups and if i do, i would remove them beforehand with a micellar cleansing water (i used all types of brands). once it's done, i would just hopped into the shower and wash my face.

  • Wash with a cold water
i won't recommend washing your face with a hot water as it's not good for your skin (in my opinion!) so i would always wash my face with a cold water (be it on hot, sunny, rainy or cold days). i heard that cold water helps to reduce the redness of your acne and reduces the scarring (if i am not wrong, i was being told by the doctor for this but i am not 100% sure ; it helps for my skin actually). hot water only increases the swelling, the redness and also scarring in the process. if you lived in a cold country (that has 4 seasons), i suggest you wash your face with a lukewarm of water. i would 100% make sure that all sides of my faces is being washed with the water and also not missing any spots, at all!

  • Choose a good facial scrub for your skin.

i used an St.Ives Acne Control (apricot scrub) which cost me about $9 (estimated). i have tried/used all different types of scrubs for my faces (which some my skin rejected) until i landed onto this brand and product last month. i've been using this daily ever since and never missed any. surprisingly, this lasted me a month or so and there is still lots of products left! considering that my skin has acne, i chose the facial scrub (meant for acne skin).

  • Use a facial brush (twice a week).
what? a facial brush? where can i get? not to worry, i got mine from Daiso! using a facial brush at least twice a week to remove any dead skin which we are unable to do so during the face-wash period. use your facial scrub, apply it evenly all over the face and use the brush and brush in a circular motion on every side of your face. starting from your left cheek, right cheek, forehead, chin, side of the nose. i do it every twice a week to at least make my skin breathe! i don't really like to use the ones that have batteries included (used to have one but it died after few usage ; even with the new batteries installed).

  • Wash again with a cold water.
make sure that you wash, again, with a cold water, leaving NO residue on your face. once done, gently pat your face dry with a paper towel or your towel (it totally doesn't matter!)

NEXT....

  • Toner
i don't really like to used Toners back in the past cause i was too lazy but now, it's becoming my most important part in my skin-care routine. it plays a part in my daily skin-care so toner is a must! i don't use expensive toners because i personally felt that all toners is the same (just the brand is different) and it works all the same. recently i used Nivea Refreshing Toner which i got for $4.50 for one bottle.

it wasn't the best product but it got me out of the trouble so it worked! but after a while, i decided to switch my toners to a different brand because after using this toner, the smell of it is revolting (for me) BUT it was bearable. i've got one more bottle of these to finish up before i could use another new toners!

i applied this toner EVERY night before bed, with a cotton pad!

  • Dark Spot Corrector

my face has loads of dark spots which i used Nano's brand. it wasn't the best of the best products but i've noticed much difference after using about 2 tubes of it.

i applied this product BEFORE moisturizer, so after the toner application, i squeeze a tiny bit of this product and rub between my fingers and apply onto the spots (dark).

  • Blackhead Liquid

i found this product online (the reviews). i decided to give it a try because my skin has blackheads and whiteheads which i totally despise alot!

i just started using this product so i have YET to see any results! i hope it's worth my money though! this is the expensive-st product i owned for skin-care! it's called Cosrx Blackhead Power Liquid.

  • Moisturizer

moisturizer is a must in every skin-care routine. moisturizer helps not to only moisturize but also acts like a lotion (?) ; self explanatory!

previously i used Nano's brand but i switch to Himayalas instead because the Nano's brand, the moisturizer tub is so small that it barely lasted me for months (i was mad!). so i decided to switch to something that is bigger and could last me about 3-6 months? so i got this moisturizer and goodness, i love this product!

  • Acne Pimple Cream

this product has been with me for over a year now. i was introduce by my mother for this product that helps to reduces acne or pimples.

i've used up about 2 tubes of this last month and this was my 3rd! i can assure you that this helps because my pimple has gradually reduce from loads to a few!

and also not only that, there's once in a while i used an Acne Patch from Cosrx

it also does the same as the acne cream but with this patch is reduces the size of the pimple, so yeah.

apart from all of these products, i do used mask but not very often. i would use them like twice a month? because mask is not cheap (in my point of view)! the mask that i have used as often is from Nano's. it's a charcoal mask.

i would use this before going to bed or probably doing some revision for an hour before i wash it all off. the part that made me disappointed in a bit is that this comes in a small tube and thus i have to slowly squeeze a tiny amount so that i won't used it all up!

so that's all of my skin-care routine and i hope this helps a little of you guys who are starting to use a skin-care products OR in need of finding a new staples of products! all of the products mentioned is NON-sponsered by the official companies neither i do have affliate with them. all the products mentioned are purchased by me so i don't gain/earn any profits whilst doing this!

all opinion is strictly stated by me!
